  1. Well in my case taking Zyrtec daily for an eosinophilic immune condition … yes as a side effect my 20 year long persistent acne is gone gone gone. Amazing drug this one.

    1. I used zyrtec coz I was suffering from itching problem . I had some treatments earlier for my 2 years long acne problem ,but they didn’t work out . After using this medicine I’ve seen drastic change in my face …. but as soon as I stop taking this medicine , acne problem continues ….

  2. I started taking Zurtec 2 weeks ago for hives. After they went away I continued on the medication to make sure they were gone. After around 5 days on the medication I realized it may be helping reduce acne breakouts. It seems to have helped with clearing up my acne.

  3. Yes! I started using cetrizine for my cat allergy 2 months ago and started to notice how my skin cleared up and has stayed flawless. Before cetrizine i always had 1 or 2 bumps or spots. Im googling about it to find out if someone else has the same experience.

  4. I went on vacation and when I got home I had allergy symptoms and acne (which had cleared up on vacation). I took cetirizine HCl for a few days and both allergies and acne cleared up. I stopped taking and the acne came back. I started it up again mostly to see if is really doing anything for the acne. I am going to continue and see how it goes!

  5. Personally most of my acne come from a sensitivity to processed wheat and corn , due to this zertec helps relieve the reaction that my small allergey gives my body including small bumps in my face and ocassionaly larger pimples

  6. I started taking Zyrtec for hay fever and definitely have noticed acne has cleared up. I think it’s because of the way Zyrtec dries up my skin. Its noticeably less oily.

  7. My son had a rash come up all over and was given this medication and surprisingly his seemingly never going to disapear acne has almost cleared completely up!

  8. my doctor prescribed me this cetirizne and its works to clear up my more than 3year suffering from acne

  9. I’m 32 yrs old. I’ve been suffering from acne very much recently last 6yrs. Prior to that it was what I would call normal teen; I’m very active and sweat a lot and work outdoors so I didn’t think of as anything other than I didn’t wash my face often enough ect. Anyway last 6 yrs been put on all the meds for acne and nothing worked well enough to say working. Also I should note that I was on birth control pills up until about 6-7yrs ago..so that probably helped. Taken every vitamin, otc medicine wash ect. U name it I’ve tried it. I’ve been researching and I had allergy testing done. Removed dairy and wheat and it’s helped. I’ve avoided chemicals in my soaps. All of this costing a fortune mins you..but I will say all of these healthy changes have changed my health just not my acne. I’m in better shape with abs at 34 than I was at 18. Ok so I finally said my immune system is just to damn sensitive to everything and I’m doing everything I can to avoid allergens let’s try otc allergy meds. BAM ANCE NOTICEABLY CLEARING!! Only tiny blackheads remain..and I hit those with borax scrub and castor oil for cleansing, moisturizing, and decreasing any and all inflammation..waiting for everyone to ask what I’ve been using!! Ohhh how they are going to jaw drop.

  10. I wish I had good results, but this med seems to cause acne for me. I’m in my 50s, so I haven’t had acne in a very long time. I started this med after dust mites and grass allergy–two allergens difficult to mitigate or avoid. This was the first to really help my symptoms, but I noticed acne come up on my chin, which is quite unusual for me. I stopped taking it for a week, and my chin cleared. I’ve started it back, and the bumps returned. I’m really glad it has helped others with acne, but it seems the opposite is true for me. I will take it, but I think I’ll need to adjust dosage or use BHA (beta hydroxy acid).

    1. Same for me too. My acne was horrible, on my back, face, jawline. Big and painful. My skin hates this medication. I started taking it daily for my allergies

  11. Zyrtec gave me really bad acne, my skin was completely clear and within 2 hours of taking it, I had huge nodules on my face that took weeks to go away. If you are having issued with acne and recently started taking zyrtec… that is your cause!!

  12. Every since I have been taking the medication I have had severe acne. On my back and all over my face. Not just regular acne as well a mixture of cystic acne. I definitely did not have anything like this before I started taking the medication through weeks ago it is been consistent acne for the last three weeks

  13. I started Zyrtec for allergies, and I got acne breakout all over upper body.
So severe I thought I had chicken pox.
I believe Zyrtec is causing acne for me, and I will not take it anymore.
Happy for those who it helps though –
I also noticed dryer skin, and reading this I now see why.

  14. Sandra,
Have had facial skin problems including squamous cell carcinoma. On my cheek. Started taking Zertec for my seasonal allergies the same time as coronavirus hit the United States. Never took it before but needed to know if my symptoms were my normal allergic reactions or the virus. My sore throat, congestion and puffy eyes improved but my face looks like a relief map now. Both cheeks are all bumpy with raised places, dry feeling, red and tender. I will stop taking it and hope it improves.

  15. It helps with my discoloration such as red or dark marks on my face, I don’t get many pimples so I can’t say that Zyrtec really helps with acne but discoloration and eczema for sure
