Does Protopic (tacrolimus) ointment cause or cure acne? Protopic reviews.

If you have used Protopic (tacrolimus) ointment and experienced an increase or decrease in acne, please tell us about it here. Be sure to include as much information as possible, including when you started taking Protopic, the dosage, other side effects you experienced, and anything else that might be relevant. Acne is sometimes a side effect of prescription drug usage, but other times it has to do with hard-to-track-down lifestyle changes, bacteria in your gut, or nutrient deficiency. In our experience, the best way to treat acne is by eliminating sugar, flour, dairy, caffeine, and vegetable oils from your diet. Supplementing zinc, vitamin b complex, boron, melatonin, and SOD is likely to help as well.

  1. Every time I use protopic I get surface acne after 3 days use
This could be due to the fact that protopic uses petroleum jelly.
Either way it does cause acne

  2. I have been diagnosed with acne rosacea
    Protopic ointment
Was prescribed for my face .
It took a week and I looked
    Like my self again.
I read some scary stuff but
    Had no choice .it works????

  3. Protopic was prescribed for my dermatitis caused by severe acne rosacea. In the 5 weeks I’ve used it it has cleared up the dermatitis and I have had not one new breakout. Redness from rosacea is still present but 2 out 3 is life changing!
